Where the numbers come from
Everything below is somebody else's record.
The recognition below is the UGC's and the rank is NIRF's.
The UGC record
Galgotias University appears at entry 898 on the UGC's consolidated list of universities, the list as published on 25.01.2023 It has been recognised since 07.04.2011. It is recorded there as a private university in Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
NIRF 2025
NIRF publishes a separate ranking for each field. It prints individual ranks and scores only for the top of each table, and lists the institutions placed below them as a rank band such as 101-150, alphabetically and without scores, on a separate page. Galgotias University is recorded with a numbered rank in Law and Pharmacy and in rank bands for Innovation (11-50), University (101-150), Engineering (101-150), Management (101-125) and Overall (151-200).
This page prints only the placements CollegeJaancho has matched to the UGC record by name and state, as read from NIRF's pages on 7 October 2026. A table that is not shown here is not a statement that Galgotias University is absent from it, and not being placed in a table is never a mark against an institution.
Its strongest position is Law, at rank 36 of the 40 institutions that table lists, where the highest score was 82.97 against this one's 53.33.
On the same UGC list, Uttar Pradesh holds 115 universities, and at least 21 of them are placed in NIRF 2025, at a numbered rank or in a rank band. This is one of those.
NAAC accreditation
NAAC publishes its own list of institutions holding a valid accreditation. On that list, as on 14 August 2025, this institution is recorded as follows.
| Name on the NAAC list | GALGOTIAS UNIVERSITY |
|---|---|
| AISHE code | U-0643 |
| Grade | A+ |
| CGPA | 3.37 |
| Cycle | 1 |
| Date of declaration | 16 August 2022 |
A NAAC grade is not permanent. It is awarded for a fixed term and has to be renewed, so the date of declaration above is the figure a family paying several years of fees actually needs, and it is the one a brochure rarely carries. We print the record as NAAC states it and draw no conclusion from it. If the institution holds a more recent record, it can write to us and we will update this page.

Each filing above is a PDF the institution itself sent to the government. Under Sanctioned (Approved) Intake it carries the real seat numbers for every programme across six years, with student strength, faculty count and expenditure beside them. If anybody promises you a seat, the promise has to fit inside those numbers.
Four things this page cannot settle
A record is a starting point, not a verdict.
Recognition and rank say nothing about what your family pays or what your degree is worth. Each of these has its own page, written once and kept current.
The state portal for Uttar Pradesh, and the central schemes, are listed on our government scholarships page, and every other university in the state is on the Uttar Pradesh page.
